The water crisis in Haiti

In the regions of Belle-Vue-la-Montagne, Kenscoff, and Aux-Cadets, life looks a lot different than ours. Without running water or electricity, it isn't unusual for 2,000 people to rely on a single source for their daily needs. This constant struggle to gather water consumes the day and often pulls children out of the classroom—forcing them onto daunting, dangerous paths just to bring home a basic necessity.

The blueprint for change

h₂ope Ministries serves these communities by building 5,500-gallon concrete water reservoirs for families in need. But access to clean water isn’t the only support h₂ope Ministries provides. In 2025, they took it a step further by saving a local school from closing, ensuring students had a safe place to learn. To support this mission, a portion of our profits is now donated to both building reservoirs and providing the funding and materials needed to keep these schools running.

Expanding opportunity through education

As access to clean water improves daily life in Haitian communities, h₂ope Ministries has taken a natural next step—supporting local classrooms. In 2025, h₂ope Ministries stepped in to save a local school from closing, providing a safe haven for learning. Clean water provides the foundation, but education provides the way forward. We’re proud to help turn the hours once lost to gathering water into hours spent in the classroom.

340 water reservoirs have been constructed.
595 children are enrolled in “From Buckets to Books” clubs.
1,275 students are now attending school instead of gathering water.
